Classes and Resources

The Gifted Program at JPLIS:

Identified 4th/5th grade gifted students participate in enrichment pull out classes and often receive differentiation of curriculum in the general education classroom. Identified 6th grade gifted students attend Ms. Gaugler's ELA block.

The purpose of the gifted program is to provide an opportunity for the gifted students to interact with intellectual peers on a regular basis, to pursue enrichment topics using higher level thinking skills, deductive and divergent thinking, and to address the social/emotional needs of the gifted child.
