We often spend our lives placing our happiness in future events. Thoughts such, "I will be happy once I get that 'A'" or "I will be happy when I get accepted to that college" trick us into thinking that happiness is only one step away. The problem is that happiness will alway be one step away because we never learn to make it happen now. We never focus on how to bring happiness into the now. Happiness is not a condition; it is a practice.
