Happy Winter, Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Kwanza...Happy New Year! Happy Holidays!

All K-2 classes finished up their Pop Art projects and our Color Unit

K-2 are now starting their Proportion unit where they will draw a portrait and learn the proportions of a human face! Students will improve on their facial feature drawing ability....we will break down the human face one feature at a time! 

Kindergarten will draw an ancient Egyptian pharaoh and get to design their crown and necklace!

1st Grade will draw themselves and get to represent their own personality and uniqueness!

2nd Grade will draw Mona Lisa....we will investigate the mysteries behind the Mona Lisa....the inventions during the Renaissance and the awesome Leonardo Da Vinci!

Preschool is working on their food drawings.....slices of pizza to make a huge pizza pie in the hallway....and donuts to fill our donut assortment display in the hallway! Delicious! Students are working on their tracing and combining of art mediums (crayon with watercolor paint over top!)

UNIT 2 POTRAITS...Proportion!

Kindergarten is drawing, coloring and painting Pharaohs!

Portrait project, step by step! Students will choose between a king or a queen. And along the way, learn about Ancient Egypt!

1st graders are drawing, coloring and painting themselves...like Van Gogh frequently did!

Showcasing their personality....and adding an impressionist style/texture to their backgrounds!

2nd grade has begun the infamous Mona Lisa! YAY!

Students will draw step by step and create their own version of the Mona Lisa.  And along the way, we will discover the odd and interesting things about Da Vinci, the Renaissance and Mona Lisa herself!
