Extra Edition Rules

To participate in our program, students must observe and obey the rules. Should a child have a behavior concern, the site director will notify the parent.   Unsafe / negative behavior referrals may result in suspension or removal from the program.

Extra Edition students are dismissed at 2:05 and go directly to their homework room and attendance is taken.  Depending on grade level, they will either begin snack time or homework time.

Thirty minutes is allotted for homework time.  Although assistance is provided during homework if needed,  it is not a one-on-one tutoring session. We cannot emphasize this enough!   During homework time students should expect to work quietly on their written assignments and/or read. They should raise their hand for assistance and are expected to stay in their seat.

All students must be able to use restroom facilities independently.  If a student has an accident, parents will be notified.

Counselors will redirect students to remind them of the expected behavior.  If they are unable or unwilling to correct their behavior after 3 attempts, the student will be written up, receive a consequence or possibly removed from the group by the director.   Any student exhibiting aggressive, unsafe or defiant behavior may be removed from the group immediately.

Please discuss these rules with your child/children.  If you have any questions, please contact the program director.
