Extra Edition is our after-school program that is housed on school grounds. Our Extra Edition staff provides an after-school setting where students can work on homework, and have fun while in a safe environment.
Extra Edition provides snack, dinner, homework time, crafts, gym time, and lots more. To enroll your child in Extra Edition, you will need to fill out the form by following the REGISTRATION link below. There is limited space. When a grade level is at capacity, the registration link will be closed and a link for the waiting list will be opened. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED VIA EMAIL WHEN YOUR STUDENT HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR THE PROGRAM. The Extra Edition program will closely follow BSES’s policies and procedures for health and safety guidelines in the current BSES handbook and addendum. Parents must read and agree to the terms of our program. You will find this information located under the Parent Info. and Student Rules tabs located above.
REGISTRATION AND COST
Students are dismissed at the end of the school day and report to their designated grade level homework room. Groups are also provided time for arts and craft activities, time in our computer labs, gym activities, and outside play time.
Please note that there is limited availability in the Extra Edition program. If a grade level has reached capacity, the registration link will be disabled and a waiting list link will be available. WE ARE NOW AT CAPACITY FOR TWO GRADE LEVELS. PLEASE COMPLETE THE WAITING LIST FORM. YOU WILL BE CONTACTED VIA EMAIL IF THERE IS AN OPENING FOR YOUR CHILD'S GRADE LEVEL.
* REGISTRATION FEE: $48.00 (non-refundable) fee per year, per student.
* DAILY COST: $12.00 per day that your child attends.
* All fees are due by 5:00 pm on Friday of the week PRIOR to attendance.
* Accounts are considered PAST DUE Friday, the week of attendance at 5:00 pm
* ANY ACCOUNT THAT IS PAST DUE WILL BE CHARGED A $12.00 LATE FEE
* All students enrolled must be able to use restroom facilities independently.
* Students may be suspended or removed from the program for non-payment or not following the rules and guidelines of the program.
All payments will be made online through your child's account on the Childseer program. When your child is enrolled in Extra Edition, a link will be sent via email with access to your student's account. You will be able to see your child's daily balance, apply payments to your child's account or prepay your child's account. You are only charged for days that your student attends. ALL payments must be made online with a debit or credit card. Payments should be made one week in advance for your student's attendace. All payments are due by Friday at 5 pm for the upcoming week, prior to your child's attendance. A $12.00 late fee will be applied to all accounts with a balance on Friday at 5 pm the week the student attends the program. Students may be suspended or removed from the program for non-payment. Charges are applied daily based on attendance. Attendance is taken upon arrival to the program at 2:05 pm. Please ensure that your child's teacher is aware of any changes with their dismissal arrangements (Extra Edition, Bus or Car Rider), to avoid confusion at dismissal and also charges to your account.
