Southside ISD offers its students 12 different Career Pathways through it's Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs. Each Career Pathway offers industry-standard certifications, and some offer Dual Credit and Advanced Technical Credit as well (see Course Catalog for details).
Students participate in career exploration, Career and Technical Student Organizations competitions and training that prepare them for post-secondary success.
CTSOs
Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) play an integral part in a student’s career and technical education. CTSOs enrich student learning that starts in the classroom, build strong partnerships between industries and future employees, and provide future career experience that students carry into their careers and communities.

Career and Technical Education
Southside ISD offers Career and Technical Education programs in Agriculture, Food, & Natural Resources; Architecture & Construction; Arts, A/V Technology, and Communications; Education & Training; Hospitality & Tourism; Health Science; Human Services, Information Technology, Law, Public Safety, Corrections, & Security; Manufacturing; Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics; and Transportation, Distribution, & Logistics. Admission to these programs is based on interest and availability.
