Catalyst connections, social media postings, insights and responses to keynote speakers and themes:

Here, we plan to share members' shared quotes, social media posts, and reactions to this year's Catalyst experience.  Tell us about your experiences and what you found most interesting or valuable, from the transfer fairs to the educational forums, to the themes of the keynote speakers.....  (Email your advisor, Dr. Carol Smith (carol.smith@southmountaincc.edu), with your reactions, pictures of your watch party engagement, and any social media links that illustrate the best of your experiences at this virtual conference.

Past Conferences.....
Keynote Speaker, General Session 5,  "Our Time":  Photographer and activist, Platon.  Through stories of the people he has photographed (famous and ordinary) Platon delivered a moving speech about optimism and resilience in a challenging world, connecting that with the power of "shared experience" to inspire empathy and collective action to create a better world.
The Link at left is to a documentary on Platon's work.  It is not the presentation given at Catalyst, but reflects much of his philosophy and message of hope for the future.
