How will the school communicate with me?
We are excited to announce that we adopted a new form of school-to-home communication at Southern Tioga School District called ParentSquare. This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with our school. It provides a safe way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to:

Share pictures and files
See calendar items
Sign up to volunteer
Schedule parent-teacher conferences
and much more . . . all in one centralized place!
All district and school, grade level and classroom information will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text. For even more convenience, download the ParentSquare app (available for free for iOS and Android devices).
Have questions? Click the question mark in the top right corner of the desktop version or the Help tab on the app (tap the triple bar icon at the top left) to find answers to most of your questions.
You can follow our school on Facebook. Upcoming events, cancellations, and exciting happenings will be posted on these pages. Look for us on Facebook at Warren L. Miller Elementary.
Notes Home
Notes are sometimes sent home from the office and more frequently from teachers. Please make sure that you check your child’s folder daily.
Email/Phone Calls
Using email/phone calls is a great way for you to communicate with us. Please keep in mind that teachers’ ability to access these tools is limited during the school day when they are teaching, so it may take a little time for them to get back to you. Employee emails follow this format: John Jones = jjones@southerntioga.org. You can expect a reply to your email within 24 hours.
Sapphire
Sapphire is the Southern Tioga School District’s student data management system. This system allows you access to your child’s grades and is another tool for you to access/share information with your child’s teacher(s). Directions for signing up for the Parent Portal of Sapphire are included in the beginning of the year folder. Directions are also available in the school office.
