RAMification, Southeast Polk’s varsity show choir is under the direction of Jamie Logan, assisted by Talen Birchmier and Melina Murrane with choreography by Lexi Robson and arrangements by Reid Larsen. Inspired by O’Henry’s short story, The Gift of the Magi, this year’s show tells the story of a young couple who resolve to give each other a beautiful gift. Lacking the money to purchase a gift worthy of their love, Della sells the beautiful gown she’s been constructing for herself to buy Jim a brooch for his hat, while Jim sells the hat his father wore to buy a brooch for Della’s gown. Though they both feel foolish for sacrificing their prized possessions and therefore spoiling the other’s gift, they realize they’ve shown true wisdom in giving with love and sacrifice. What a beautiful lesson for us all.

Southeast Polk's treble prep show choir, Vocal Gold, is one of 6 choral offerings at Southeast Polk High School. Vocal Gold is comprised of 66 singers, band, and crew. Under the direction of Ella Cavin, assisted by Talen Birchmier and Melina Murrane with choreography by Anne Chapman and arrangements by Reid Larsen.

Southeast Polk's JH show choir, Sudden Impulse, is composed of 60 singers, band, and crew.
