On July 24th, 2025, Marty Lind, Project Coordinator/Manager for GCEEC, teamed up with Jacob Arnold— a YES Intern with the City of Mobile, working with Rebuilding Together of South Alabama and a senior at the University of Mobile—alongside YouthWorks volunteers to install rain barrels at two locations in south Mobile County. These barrels help capture clean rainwater for use on plants, gardens, and pets, offering a cost-effective and eco-friendly solution. They also support healthier landscapes, reduce foundation moisture issues, and minimize stormwater runoff pollution.
