Calling all Students Interested in Making a Difference in Environmental Sustainability

GC-CAMP is thrilled to share an exciting summer internship opportunity organized by the NSF REU Site at the University of South Alabama. This opportunity focuses on interdisciplinary research to tackle microplastic pollution in the Gulf Coast region. It offers students from diverse fields the chance to engage in impactful research projects and gain hands-on experience addressing one of today’s most pressing environmental issues.

Program Highlights:

• World-class mentoring and research experience

• $7,000 stipend for 10 weeks during the summer (May 26, 2026 to July 31, 2026)

• On-campus housing and dormitory living
