Calling all Students Interested in Making a Difference in Environmental Sustainability

GC-CAMP is thrilled to share an exciting summer internship opportunity organized by the NSF REU Site at the University of South Alabama. This opportunity focuses on interdisciplinary research to tackle microplastic pollution in the Gulf Coast region. It offers students from diverse fields the chance to engage in impactful research projects and gain hands-on experience addressing one of today’s most pressing environmental issues.

Program Highlights:

• $7,000 stipend, housing, and transportation

• Hands-on research experience with personalized mentorship

• Industry networking, career readiness activities, field trips, and cultural events

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

• Open to undergraduates in relevant fields

• Committed to full-time participation (May 19 – August 1, 2025)
