Indication of Interest Period

Applicants who are submitting during the Indication of Interest Period must complete both (A) and (B)

(A) 7 November to 16 November

(1) Items to upload directly into the TA Portal Application Form

a. ONE Passport-sized colour photo

• Sample of passport-sized photo

• Do not upload a full-length photo

• Format: JPEG

• Size: 2MB max

(2) Items to upload in Google Drive

a. 1-min Solo Dance Performance

1. Record in a studio setting or any open space/room. 

2. Record in a single take (no editing). 

3. Cannot be professionally produced.

b. Dance Exercise 1 video

1. Record in a studio setting or any open space/room.

2. record in a single take (no editing). 

3. Cannot be professionally produced.

c. Academic Results

1. Primary 6 Prelim results

2. Mother Tongue Language-in-Lieu Letter issued by MOE (if applicable)

3. Mother Tongue Language Exemption Letter issued by MOE (if applicable)

d. Identification Document

• Singaporean: Birth Certificate or Citizenship Certificate; Deed Poll (if any)

• Singapore Permanent Resident: Passport and Re-Entry Permit

• Foreigners: Passport and Student Pass or Dependant Pass

• Format: PDF

(3) Instruction:

• Save all items into 1 folder.

• Save the folder as the applicant's full name. 

• Upload the folder to Google Drive. 

• Set the folder's access to 'Anyone with the link can view'. 

• Paste the  shared link of the folder in the Supporting Documents and Portfolio Submission for Dance section of the application form in the TA Portal.

(B) Supplementary Intake Exercise Period (PSLE Release Day)

(1) Vacancy and Eligibility to Apply 

a. On the day of the release of the PSLE result

• If you are posted to Group 3 for your PSLE result, you are eligible to apply.

b. Check for Vacancy

• The SIE will only take place if there are available vacancies. Check SOTA's website for this confirmation. 

• If the SIE is taking place and there are vacancies for Dance, you may proceed to complete your application by submitting the following:

(i) a PDF copy of your PSLE result

(2) Instruction:

• Upload the PSLE result slip to your Google Drive and drop it into the same Google Folder used during the Indication of Interest period before the closing date. 

(C) Frequently Asked Questions

What if there are no available vacancies after the release of the PSLE result? 

SIE application will not open for SOTA. Your application during the Indication of Interest period is considered void. No follow-up is required from you. Please proceed to participate in MOE's S1 Posting Exercise instead. 

What if I am not posted to Group 3? 

You are not eligible to apply via SIE, so you are not required to follow up with (B). Please participate in MOE's S1 Posting Exercise instead.

What if I am not shortlisted to attend the SIE? 

You will proceed to participate in MOE's S1 Posting Exercise.
