This is the autonomous robot. We were tasked with building a robot that could accurately understand its environment in order to avoid obstacles.
This project was when we used PlayDough to control an LED using Arduino.
Before we were able to use the PlayDough, we first had to learn how to even turn on an LED using Arduino. In this activity, we learned how to route power and to code different commands regarding the LED. We did this by using a button to turn on the LED.
In this activity, we were tasked with using Arduino Leonardo to program a keyboard that could be used to work a computer. To represent this, we programmed the keyboard to create a series of different noises and beats when touched.
I believe that the autonomous car is the most fits the definition of what a robot is most clearly. This is because the car is able to accurately understand its environment on its own and execute decisions on its next move. In the instance of the car, it is being able to back up and turn when faced with an obstacle. This quality is what I believe distinguishes a robot from a mindless machine.
