Engagement Opportunities

Blue Rose Foundation Club: The Blue Rose Foundation raises funds to provide grants to preschools for scholarships to allow children from financially disadvantaged backgrounds to attend quality preschools. As junior ambassadors, we carry out that mission and help TBRF work with collaborative effort between students and TBRF to find projects/areas of interest.

Community Stewardship with LandPaths: We will invite members of our school to join us for volunteer days/events through LandPaths. We partner with this group to engage students in local environmental stewardship through hands-on volunteering, shared learning and a welcoming community.

Count Us: We defend/campaign for local and state-level climate policy and engage our community in education and action. We strive to highlight youth voices in the construction and protection of our future.

Feeding Sonoma County: The purpose is to get the SA community involved in the fight against food insecurity and working with local non-profits to try to combat food insecurity.

For Better Club: We've create a club that raises money through multiple fundraisers to create kits for the women's shelter and/or the homeless shelter.

Indigenous Justice Coalition SA Chapter: The purpose of this club is to empower the next generation of social justice leaders through partnership with an Indigenous Tribe. We will meet weekly to discuss volunteer positions within the tribe that have opened up. This includes journalism/media outreach, financial work, or legislative affairs. This will be community-service and impact-based.

Interact Club: The club's purpose is to empower high school students to become leaders in our community and motivate others to join movements. We aim to create meaningful impact through collaborative hands on service work in order to positively impact broader issues.

Pulsera Project Club: The club will take bracelets made in Central America by workers and sell them to the SA community, returning the profits to Central America. The club's mission is to make an even greater profit than last year to help people in Central America stay out of harmful working conditions.

Red Cross Volunteer Alliance: We will have a few purposes all for the benefit of the students of SA. Red Cross will provide club members opportunities to learn emergency medical skills, as well as get info about other health topics. They will be invited to exclusive events hosted by this club to listen to guest speakers and presentations. Another purpose is to give the students of SA more volunteering opportunities that fit in their schedules, and in their interest area. There will be options for some logged volunteering hours that will happen during club meetings and will go to their red cross account, and also more info about weekend and after school volunteering. The club will be recognized by the American Red Cross. The mission is to serve the SA community and the larger Red Cross community by providing knowledge, skills, and preparedness for possible emergency situations.

Redwood Empire Food Bank (REFB) Ambassadors Program: The club's purpose is to provide an easy and effective way to learn about and act on food insecurity. We want to get more high school students to be aware of food insecurity and getting involved in helping the community. 

Smoothie Society: This club aims to promote healthy eating, create healthy recipes and promote community engagement while fostering teamwork and a knowledge of nutrition. We are dedicated to creating a fun, inclusive environment where students collaborate to make healthy smoothies, learn balanced nutrition, and build strong connections within the school community. 

STEMinism: Our club purpose is for a group of students interested in supporting women and encouraging young girls to pursue STEM to meet and discuss community outreach opportunities.Our mission is to go out into the community and encourage positive impact and also to give as much back to the community as possible through donation drives and women in STEM initiatives.

Tri-M: We're focused on amplifying the music community at SA and pursuing service/aid in the surrounding county. The club's mission is to provide opportunities to perform, lead, and serve the community, to inspire students to be leaders in music education and advocacy.

The Blue Rose Foundation (Santa Rosa): Supports educational opportunities and mentorship for young people in Sonoma County. Volunteers can help create pathways for students to thrive academically and personally.

Canine Companions (Santa Rosa): Enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing expertly trained service dogs at no cost. Volunteers support training, events, and programs that create greater independence and connection.

Committee on the Shelterless (COTS) (Petaluma): Works to prevent and end homelessness through housing, support services, and community partnerships. Volunteers assist with programs that support individuals and families experiencing housing instability.

Common Ground Society (Santa Rosa): Works to build understanding and connection across differences through dialogue, education, and community-building experiences. Volunteers can help foster inclusive conversations and stronger community relationships.

Community Bikes (Santa Rosa): Promotes bicycle access, sustainability, and transportation equity through bike repair, education, and donation programs. Volunteers can help refurbish bicycles and support community members in learning basic bike maintenance.

Council on Aging (Santa Rosa): Serves older adults through nutrition programs, transportation, social services, and caregiver support. Volunteers help improve quality of life and reduce isolation among Sonoma County seniors.

Farm to Pantry (Healdsburg): Addresses food insecurity by rescuing surplus produce from farms, backyards, and orchards and distributing it to those in need. Volunteers help harvest fresh fruits and vegetables while reducing food waste.

LandPaths (Santa Rosa): Connects people to the land through environmental education, stewardship, and outdoor experiences. Volunteers help care for local ecosystems while expanding access to nature for all community members.

Read On, Sonoma! (Sonoma County): Helps improve literacy outcomes for children by connecting students with reading support and enrichment opportunities. Volunteers play an important role in encouraging a lifelong love of reading.

PetsLifeline (Sonoma): Dedicated to improving the lives of animals through rescue, adoption, veterinary care, and education. Volunteers can support animal care, adoption events, and programs that strengthen the human-animal bond.

Sebastopol Area Senior Center (Sebastopol): Provides programs, resources, and social connections for older adults in West County. Volunteers support community events, meal programs, and activities that foster belonging and wellness.

Sonoma County Regional Parks (Sonoma County): Protects and maintains parks, trails, and natural spaces throughout the county. Volunteer opportunities include habitat restoration, trail work, cleanups, and environmental stewardship projects.

Sonoma Summer Reading Program (Santa Rosa): Helps elementary students maintain and strengthen their literacy skills during the summer months. Volunteers support young readers through tutoring, encouragement, and meaningful one-on-one connections.
