Course Goals
Think globally, act locally
This required one-quarter course for all sophomores explores what it means to be an engaged local and global citizen. Students learn from Sonoma Academy's Passport Program partner organizations around the world while applying those lessons through a hands-on community engagement project closer to home.
Teaching Assistants
Student Leadership
Rising juniors and seniors participated in an application and interview process to serve as teaching assistants for the course. TAs collaborate with faculty to co-teach a lesson with an international partner, connect with local community organizations, and help guide student-led projects throughout the quarter.
TAs attend the class three out of four days per week, along with one Coyote Block section per semester, and receive a pass/fail grade for their Coyote Block participation.
