The 4th annual North Bay Womxn of Color Conference is organized and facilitated by a coalition of students from Mujeres Activas en Letras y Cambio Social (MALCS) de SSU and the Chicano and Latino Studies Department.
The conference will offer a variety of workshops and panels centered around the experiences and challenges faced by women of color. We will also focus on “Self-Reflection, Liberation, Continuity” and highlight issues concerning liberation movements, how one must develop self-awareness in these movements, and how we collectively think about the ways in which we continue these movements. A conference program will be available early March.
Registration for this event is free and will be open February 28, 2020 and remain open until March 27, 2020. You must register for this event in order to be granted access to the workshops/panels. The first 150 registered participants will be granted a free lunch, so we encourage folks to register quickly. We highly encourage allies to begin registering two weeks after registration opens in order to give priority to WoC participants.
Please be aware that there is a fee to park on the Sonoma State University campus. We suggest carpooling or taking public transportation in order to minimize the cost.
