North Bay Women of Color Conference

The first North Bay Women of Color Conference will be held at Sonoma State University on March 29, 2017. The event has been organized and will be facilitated by a coalition of students from Mujeres Activas en Letras y Cambio Social (MALCS) de SSU, Associated Students Productions (ASP), Undocu-Scholars Coalition, MEChA de SSU, Black Student Union (BSU), Sonoma State Students for Quality Education (SQE), Mujeres Xingonas de SRJC, and Sonoma State University faculty and staff representing a variety disciplines, departments and programs.

The conference will offer a variety of workshops and panels centered around the experiences and challenges faced by women of color. We will also focus on strategies for empowerment and self-care aimed specifically at this population. A conference program will be available in early March.

Registration for this event is free and will be open until March 22, 2017. You must register for this event in order to be granted access to the workshops/panels and receive a boxed lunch.

Please be aware that there is a fee to park on the Sonoma State University campus. We suggest carpooling or taking public transportation in order to minimize the cost.
