Dear Athletes, Families, Coaches, Volunteers, Supporters & Fans – Â
I am excited to see all of you once again at the 2024 Summer Games!Â
Summer Games is an exciting chance to highlight the power of Special Olympics, our athletes, and the inclusive community which we’re building throughout Northern California.
Â
Special Olympics celebrates people of all abilities, races, and backgrounds. No matter what you look like, what you sound like, or how you communicate, you are welcome here at Special Olympics. It’s a place where the power of sports leads to growth in confidence, self-worth and belonging for people of all abilities. And Summer Games encompasses all of that into three amazing days.Â
To our coaches, volunteers, law enforcement supporters, sponsors and partners: thank you for all that you do for Special Olympics and for your tireless efforts at Summer Games.Â
And to our athletes: good luck this weekend, have fun and I look forward to cheering you on!Â
Together, we are doing something special!
