Meet the Therapists

Hi all! My name is Erica Lunn and I am a Certified Occupational Therapist graduated from Worcester State University. I currently work at North Elementary and have been working for Somerset Public Schools since 2015. I have 17 years of pediatric experience working in both, rehabilitative and school based settings. My heart has always been with helping children reach their best potential when something might be getting in their way. I strive to make my students feel supported, heard, and most of all happy and proud of themselves. Outside of work, I am a wife and mother of two amazing young children. I enjoy a good cup of coffee and getting outdoors whenever I can.

My name is Jennifer Balcius aka "Mrs. Jenn". I'm an Occupational Therapy Assistant at North Elementary School. I currently provide occupational therapy services to students grades Pre-K - 5th. I work closely with children within the school system helping to implement therapeutic activities, and lead children who have developmental disabilities in beneficial activities that promote independence within the school setting. I graduated college from New England Institute of Technology in 1999. My 21 year career has been with a variety of populations including, geriatrics, home care services, outpatient clinics, Southcoast Educational Collaborative, and currently Somerset school system as of 2015. Outside of school I love to spend time with my husband and our blended family of 6 children as well as our dog. I enjoy playing tennis, volleyball, arts and crafts, and coloring in adult coloring books.

Hi everyone! My name is Tayla Couto and I am an Occupational Therapy Assistant for Somerset Public Schools. Working with children has always been a goal and passion of mine, and after graduating from Bristol Community College in 2016 I began a career I love here in Somerset. I currently work at both North Elementary Preschool, and Chace Street Elementary School. Outside of school I enjoy spending time outdoors, relaxing, and hanging out with my puppy!
