The information below is for the 2025-2026 school year.  

• • The SHS Counseling Department seeks to accurately place new students in their English and Math courses. 

  • All new students are required to take a math placement test. 

  • Students who desire to take an Honors English course are required to take an additional test. 

  • Please complete the Placement Testing Form and review the information below.  We will reach out to you to schedule the exact date and time.

  • Testing will be completed IN PERSON at Solon High School.  Allow 2-3 hours of testing time per test (this varies for students - it is based on test(s) that are being taken).

  • If you test any time after August 15, 2025, you will NOT be starting school on the first day (August 20, 2025)

IN PERSON TESTING (tests are administered anytime between 8:00-12:00):

IN-PERSON TESTING (tests are administered at 9:00 a.m.):

• • Monday, August 4, 2025

  • Thursday, August 7, 2025

  • Monday-Friday, August 11-15, 2025

Note: If you test any time after August 15, 2025, you will NOT be starting school on the first day (August 20, 2025)
 

For students tested after August 15, 2025 (administration times vary and are set up by the counseling office) - contact the Counseling Office to set up a test date and time

Special note: A graphing calculator is recommended
