These are the eligibility requirements you must meet in order to go on Senior Project.
GPA – Cumulative GPA of 2.0 after 7 semesters
Good Academic Standing – Students must be passing ALL classes needed for graduation.
Behavior – NO suspensions or expulsions during senior year.
Attendance – May not have missed more than 7 days.
Before submitting your Senior Project application, you must:
Secure an On-Site Sponsor who agrees to supervise your project
Identify a Faculty Advisor who will support your progress
Discuss your project idea with your parent/guardian
Understand the time commitment and expectations
Review all project guidelines and deadlines
If you have questions about finding a sponsor or project idea, your faculty advisor can help.
Faculty Advisor:
Solon High School faculty member (teacher, counselor, or administrator)
Support student in their search for an On-Site Sponsor
Contact On-Site Sponsor once before student has left for project
Contact with students throughout the senior project experience
Evaluate senior project on its completion and submit for final approval
On-Site Sponsor: (Student can only have one (1) On-Site Sponsor)
CAN NOT be a Solon High School staff member
CAN NOT be a relative of student
CAN NOT pay student for their work
Must have a valid email address to communicate with your advisor
Must agree to sponsor you before you submit your application
Must verify your time and evaluate your performance
Please complete the Student Application Form linked to the right by April 2, 2026 at 3:00PM.
Be prepared to provide:
On-site sponsor contact information (location physical address and email address for Sponsor)
Parent/guardian email
Faculty advisor email
Project description and goals
Once your application is submitted, automated emails will be sent to request required approvals from your Faculty Advisor, On-Site Sponsor, and Parent/Guardian.
Your application must receive the following approvals, in this order:
On-Site Sponsor Approval
Parent/Guardian Approval
Faculty Advisor Approval
Principal Approval
You may begin your project only after final approval from the principal.
