Expectations for Sponsors

As a sponsor, you agree to:

Supervise the student during their project
Monitor attendance and professionalism
Offer guidance, insight, and feedback
Complete the Sponsor Evaluation Form at the end of the project

Your mentorship helps students develop confidence and workplace skills.

Sponsor FAQ

What tasks can a student complete?

Tasks should be safe, meaningful, and connected to the workplace. Filing, shadowing, hands-on tasks, and project-based assignments are all appropriate.

What if the student is absent or late?

Please notify the school right away so we can address attendance concerns.

Is the student covered under school liability?

Students remain covered under school guidelines while participating in approved project activities.

If you have any questions during the project, please contact the Senior Project Coordinator.

Sponsor Evaluation Form

After your student completes their project and submits all requirements, the Evaluation Form will be emailed to you. Please use the student's @solonschools.net email address when filling out the form.

Your feedback is essential in assessing the student’s performance and growth.
