Modernism Week

A Featured Home on the 2022 Modernism Week Signature Home Tours. We bought this home from a local philanthropist who wanted to downsize.  The Charles Du Bois-designed home is located in the Canyon Estates community in Palm Springs.  Some signature features are the umbrella ceilings, clerestory windows, gothic door handles (rumored to be bought from a closing mortuary company), and wet bar.  Being an executive model (the largest in the community) the house was made for entertaining.  The kitchen was relocated from a tucked-in corner of the house to immediately next to the living and bar area.  To complement the relocation, a 20' multi-panel slider, Neolith stone, and semi-custom kitchen cabinets were installed.  The primary suite features handmade concrete tiles, Fliepaper wall coverings, and custom closets.
