Ms. Moreno (8th grade)

I am currently the 8th-grade school counselor for this 2025-2026 school year and follow my students throughout their 2 years at MSMS.

I was born and raised in Soledad, CA. I attended Gabilan Elementary, Main Street Middle School (Class of 1999), and Soledad High School (Class of 2003). I attended and graduated from California State University, Monterey Bay, and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Communications in 2008. I also attended and graduated from San Jose State University, where I earned my Master of Arts in Counselor Education in 2015. I am proud to say that I have been a School Counselor since 2013, having worked as an Intern Migrant School Counselor at Everett Alvarez High School in Salinas before returning to my home school district. I have a 5-year-old son named Alfredo Javani.

Actualmente soy la consejera escolar del grado 8 y sigo a mis estudiantes durante sus 2 años en MSMS.

Nací y crecí en Soledad, CA. Asistí a la Primaria Gabilan, Clase de la Main Street Middle School de 1999 y la Clase de la Soledad High School del 2003. Asistí y me gradué de la Universidad Estatal de California en Monterey Bay, donde obtuve mi Licenciatura en Humanidades y Comunicaciones en 2008. También asistí y me gradué de la Universidad Estatal de San José, donde obtuve mi Maestría en Artes en Educación de Consejeria en 2015. Me enorgullece decir que he sido Consejera Escolar desde 2013 mientras trabajaba como Consejera Escolar Migrante Interna en la Everett Alvarez High School en Salinas antes de regresar a mi distrito escolar de origen. Tengo un hijo de 5 anos, Alfredo Javani.

Hi there! I am currently the 7th-grade school counselor at MSMS for this 2025-2026 school year.

I love Monterey County and grew up in Gonzales. My parents were immigrant field workers, and I am a proud first-generation college graduate. I attended UC Santa Cruz, where I earned my BA in Sociology. I also attended San Jose State University and graduated with an MA in Counselor Education. South County truly holds a special place in my heart-I love being a counselor at MSMS! I hope to use my experiences to build connections and help students discover their potential, achieve their goals, and strengthen our community. Feel free to reach out anytime!

Hola! Actualmente soy la consejera escolar de Grado 7 de Main Street Middle School este año escolar 2025-2026

Me da gusto ser de la area local, y creci en Gonzales, CA. Mis padres son campesinos y soy la primera en mi familia de graduarme de la universidad. Asisti y me gradue de la Universidad Estatal de Santa Cruz con mi licensiatura de Bachillerato en Sociologia. Tambien asisti y me gradue de la Universidad Estatal de San Jose, donde obtuve mi licensiatura superior de Maestria en Consejeria Escolar. Espero usar mis experiensas para crear conecciones y ayudar a los estudiantes descubrir su potensial, cumplir sus metas, y fortalezer nuestra comunidad.
