This may mean more virtual events or events involving smaller groups of people and whilst safety is a proiority for us, making sure you have an epic start to the year is very important to us! We will keep you posted on events using Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, this website and via the mailing list so be sure to follow us in all socials and join our mailing list! If you have any ideas, suggestions or questions about social events, please do not hesitate to contact us!

First Virtual ASS rehearsal!!!
Tonight (03/11/2020) is our very first ASS rehearsal this term!
It will be hosted online (due to the restrictions and guidelines put in place) but that won't cramp our style! We are going to be rehearsing Hallelujah (arr. Pentatonix) having put the song choice to a vote a few weeks ago! Everything you need to participate is in this Google Drive Folder, from backing tracks to sheet music!
If you just want to get to know us or have a go, tonight is the perfect opportunity!!

Tonight (27/10/2020) at 8PM, via Zoom, we will be having a quick (20-30 min) zoom call containing info about how the singing and rehearsals will work and what our plan is for the rest of the term, so if you are interested, please do come along! We hope you have had a great start to term and had the chance to meet people despite the current circumstances! We have a great social for you to kick off the term: a QUIZ NIGHT and MEET 'N' GREET!!! This is the perfect opportunity to make some more friends with fellow acca-people so please do come along!
The social will be on Zoom on Tuesday October 20th (THIS TUESDAY!!!) beginning at 7:30 PM! - if you cannot join immediately drop in when you can ;)
The Zoom link will be posted on the day.
The quiz will have different rounds including music and A Cappella themed rounds but also some general knowledge rounds so there's something for everyone!
We will also be doing some fun games to get to know one-another so this is a great opportunity to meet some new people!

This film tells the story of a university a cappella group as they compete for world domination – so, essentially what ASS is going to do next
A cappella is the performing of vocals in a group without any instruments. As we cannot meet up in person to sing in groups just yet, we’ll be holding super fun virtual socials to get like-minded people (like YOU!) together and interested in a cappella. Then we’ll on stage performing together as soon as we can.
This social will be done using the Netflix Party Chrome Extension at 7pm on Thursday 24th September! And there will also be an optional zoom video call if you want to meet others face-to-face! Follow ASS on social media where the links will be shared in advance of the event.

Our second rehearsal went swimmingly... we continued work on "Shape of You" (video on facebook) and even started an A Cappella version of the music from the Mii creator on the Wii which was challenging but brilliant!!!

Our first ever rehearsal was amazing!!! We got to know eachother, pleayed some great warm-up games and started work on an A Cappella rendition of "Shape of You" by Ed Sheeran!?! It was of course all topped off with a mandatory trip to Falmer Bar... (duh).
