I grew up in Habersham County, Ga. I recently got married to Dan Hatch and we have bought a beautiful home in Cornelia, Ga. In May 2020, I graduated with my Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Georgia Southern University - Armstrong Campus. While in school, I was blessed with many opportunities to assess and treat children with a variety of communication disorders. In addition to this, I have years of experience working with children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, Fragile X syndrome, Cerebral palsy, hearing loss, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I have also gotten the chance to provide services to children who need Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices (AAC). I will be completing my Clinical Fellowship Year here at Soaring and I couldn't be more excited. As an SLP, I hope to provide my patients with the skills and strategies they need to confidently communicate their wants, needs, and opinions across various environments (e.g. at school, home, work, etc.). I cannot wait to watch them spread their wings and SOAR! Outside of work, I enjoy antique shopping, playing board games, watching movies, camping, and spending quality time with my friends and family.
