Julie Goodman is the Co-Owner and clinical director of Occupational Therapy at Soaring Therapy and Learning Center. Julie has enjoyed treating children in home health settings and school systems for 18 years. Julie is a graduate of Brenau University where she received her Bachelor of science and Master of science in occupational therapy. She has practiced as an occupational therapist in various settings including pediatric home health care, aquatic therapy. Currently , she serves patients in the school system and in the home and natural environments in Habersham, White, and Lumpkin county. Julie has extensive practice and continuing education in sensory integration theory and practice, aquatic therapy, oral motor and feeding therapy including the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, and Therapeutic Listening therapy.
Steve Dalin is the Co- Owner and clinical director of Speech Language Pathology program at Soaring Therapy and Learning Center. Mr. Dalin received his undergraduate degree at the University of Montana in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Masters of Science in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. He is a Life Member of the American Speech and Hearing Association.
He was employed by the State of Idaho Department as both a Speech and Language Pathologist and was promoted to Center Director of the Adult and Child Development Center in Salmon Idaho and later as the Director for the Adult and Child Development Center of St. Anthony Idaho. He returned to the University of Montana as the Director of the Human Development Center as well as grant writer and Principal Investigator for three other grant programs administered by the University of Montana, Rural Institute on Disabilities.
He relocated to Georgia and was employed as the Director of the Americorp grant program through the University of Georgia. He later became a program consultant for a Healthcare Consulting firm in Atlanta where he consulted with rehabilitation agencies and skilled nursing facilities regarding start-up and program compliance.
Mr. Dalin returned to his passion for direct services as a Speech and Language Pathologist for Habersham County Schools. After his first year of employment, he was assigned the Department Head of the Speech and Language department consisting of up to twelve therapists. He retired from Habersham County Schools in June 2020 and pursued his other dream of becoming an owner of a Pediatric Rehabilitation Center in Cleveland Georgia, Soaring Therapy and Learning Center.
Dawn Grindle is Co-Owner and clinical director of Physical Therapy at Soaring Therapy and Learning Center.
