Younghee Lee, Graduate student
Younghee received her bachelor’s in Biology at EWha Womans University. She has an interest in the neural mechanism of food wanting and dopamine dynamics. To studying correlations between eating behavior and neuronal activity in rodent and non-human primates, she primarily used fiber photometry, optogenetics, chemogenetics and mico-endoscope. She presented her posters in SfN (Society for Neuroscience) , SSIB (Society for the Study of Ingestive Behavior) and Keystone symposia. She also received best oral presentation/ poster awards in APICA (Asia Pacific International Congress of Anatomists), KSBNS (Annual Meeting of the Korea Society for Brain Neural Science), and KSSO (Korean Society for the Study of Obesity). Further, she selected as a Ph.D fellowship from NRF (National Research Foundation) of South Korea.

Yu-Been Kim, Graduate student
Yu-Been Kim is interested in researching the higher-order controls (memory, emotion, etc.) of food-related behavior. In particular, she focuses on research on how the value of food is learned and how reward memory is formed. It is mainly conducted as several behavioral experiments with experimental techniques such as Fiber photometry, Miniature-microscope, Optogenetics, stereotaxic surgery, and gastric infusion surgery.

Leslie Jaesun Ha, Graduate student
Leslie Jaesun Ha graduated from Kookmin University with a major in forest and biotechnology, and started as an intern at Seoul National University College of Medicine in March 2019. After that, she enrolled in September 2019 and has been conducting research as a doctoral program until now. She is conducting research in collaboration with the Primate Center to analyze primate feeding behavior and to observe changes in feeding behavior due to the regulation of neuronal activity in response to chemical and light stimuli. Research on the relationship between feeding behavior and memory in rodents is also in progress.
Currently, Leslie Jaesun Ha has submitted a thesis on the analysis of primate feeding behavior as the first author, and has experience of presenting at numerous domestic and foreign conferences and receiving the best poster award at the 2021 Korean Endocrinology Society.

Hwa Yun Shin, Graduate student
Hwa Yun Shin obtained her Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition at Chung-Ang University. She will enter an integrated master’s and Ph.D. course at Seoul National University.
She thinks neuroscience is the key to providing answers and consolation to the problems humanity is agonizing over. In particular, she is interested in uncovering neural networks that can control and suppress the inner desire to eat more, even in an external environment of modern society where access to nutrient-rich food is high. With these basic researches and discoveries, she has a goal to become a researcher who contributes to lowering the incidence of obesity and diabetes around the world.
