The Dynamic Learning Program (DLP) was adapted by the schools of the Diocese of Cubao Educational System (DOCES) in the year 2015. This teaching methodology applies to all learners from Grade 4 to Grade 10 levels. This learning methodology was developed by Dr. Christopher Bernido and Dr. Maria Victoria Carpio-Bernido. The most important pedagogical maxim emphasized by DLP is “Learning by Doing”. It is important that learners need to think with their own minds and work with their own hands. The DLP follows important components deemed as “non-negotiables,” which are basic and essential in the implementation. These non-negotiable components are: Parallel Class Scheme, the Learning Activity Sheets (LAS), the Comprehensive Student Portfolio, and the Strategic Rest Period, usually during Wednesdays. The discussion and explanation to these non-negotiables are found in the DOCES-DLP Handbook included in the files submitted.
