The curriculum at Pathfinder is designed to give students the opportunity to study in a way that will benefit them their whole lives. We aim to foster a lifelong commitment to learning and build an understanding of how learning can take many forms in the wide world.
Students follow one of two Pathways for Maths and English - giving students the best opportunity to work with peers at the learning level appropriate to themselves and at a pace that suits their individual journey.
Students will then be able to choose two vocational offers which focus on skills that can be transferred into the workplace and are taught in our bespoke classrooms. Vocational options are linked to our wider careers curriculum and are designed to give students the opportunity to learn both practical and theoretical skills.
Alongside the curriculum we offer a wide range of Personal Development opportunities, including the Duke of Edinburgh at Bronze and Silver level. We aim to give students experiences that will benefit their later life, teach independent travel and living skills and promote a purposeful working ethic.
