Duties for President
The duties of the president are to:
Preside over the chapter's general membership meetings during the school year
Oversee officer meetings.
Prepare the agenda for meetings and provides agenda copies to the club's advisors at least a week before the meeting.
Create the agenda for all meetings with the input and approval of the other officers and the advisors.
Plans, organizes, and implements at least one fundraiser and/or community service project for the chapter for the school year with the assistance and approval of the advisors.
Appoint committees if necessary and delegate leadership responsibilities of service projects.
In conjunction with the advisors and other officers, plan and organize the induction ceremony of new members and shall appoint current members to fill various roles in the ceremony.
Represent the chapter in public relations and official functions
Maintain communication with the advisor regarding all NHS matters.
Maintain communication with the other officers and hold them accountable for performing their duties.
Miss no more than one meeting per year (barring extenuating circumstances).
Set an example of scholarship, leadership, character and service for others to follow.
Duties for Vice President
The duties of the vice president are to:
In conjunction with the president, preside over the chapter's general membership meetings during the school year
In conjunction with the president, oversee officer meetings.
Fulfill all of the roles of the president in his or her absence.
Plans, organizes, and implements at least one fundraiser and/or community service project for the chapter for the school year with the assistance and approval of the advisors.
Represent the chapter in public relations and official functions

Duties for Secretary
The duties of the secretary are to:
Keep a list of all members’ contact information to communicate updates and reminders about meetings, projects, service opportunities, etc.
Take attendance all meetings and NHS events.
Provide advisors with copies of meeting and event attendance.
Ensure that members who were unable to attend a meeting are provided with the president's/vice president's agenda.
Assist the president/vice president with his or her yearly community service project or fundraiser and keep the advisors aware of the progress made on the community service projects.
Keep advisors, president, and vice president informed about members who have missed multiple meetings or fail to attend required service events.
Send frequent reminders to members about meeting semester service hour requirements before the deadline.
Develop and plan member socials.
Manage and maintain the Google Classroom for our organization.
Represent the chapter in public relations and official functions.
Speak at the induction ceremony on one of the four tenets of the NHS.
Set an example of scholarship, leadership, character and service for others to follow.
Duties for Historian
The duties of the historian are to:
Post meeting agendas on the chapter's social media account for members who are unable to attend.
Assist the president/vice president with his or her yearly community service project or fundraiser and keep the advisors aware of the progress made on the community service projects.
Take pictures or designate someone to take pictures at all NHS events.
Maintain and frequently update the chapter's social media account with service event reminders.
Frequently update the chapter's social media accounts with pictures taken at NHS events.
Develop and plan member socials.
Provide advisors with pictures from NHS events for them to post on the NHS website.
Create eye-catching and informative materials to represent NHS at school events or events in which the organization is being promoted.
Represent the chapter in public relations and official functions.
Speak at the induction ceremony on one of the four tenets of the NHS.

Duties for Treasurer
The duties of the treasurer are to:
Maintain with the advisors a running financial record of all income and expenditures for the current year.
Assist the president/vice president with his or her yearly community service project or fundraiser and keep the advisors aware of the progress made on the community service projects.
Track all money/donations raised during fundraising efforts and keep advisors and fellow officers up to date on these records.
Develop and plan member socials.
Represent the chapter in public relations and official functions.
Speak at the induction ceremony on one of the four tenets of the NHS.
Set an example of scholarship, leadership, character and service for others to follow.
