As a National Honor Society member you are expected to uphold the 4 virtues of National Honor Society:
Character is the force within you that makes you unique. Achieving character is necessary in life. Valuing your character requires demonstrating such qualities as respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, and fairness.
Scholarship is having a commitment to learning. Each of you must continue to be willing to do your best in your schoolwork. Scholarship can only be acquired through diligence and effort.
Leadership abilities are important qualities in National Honor Society members. Each member should have the willingness to yield his or her own interests for the interest of others. Being a good leader requires self-discipline and responsibility.
As a National Honor Society member, you are reminded of your obligation to service. Being able to help someone without the expectation of monetary compensation or recognition, exhibits good membership quality.
Keeping these virtues in mind, please remember that in order to remain a member in good standing, you must maintain a grade point average of 3.7 (A-) or above each marking period. This may require a lot of time and hard work, but will be very beneficial to you in the long term.
