Workdays occur most days after school till 5 and Saturdays 9-3. These are times when all crews are working simultaneously, our designated time to create. Everyone is welcome to come to workdays! Just show up and other crew members will be happy to help you find your way around. You are not required to come to all workdays to be on crew, come when you can.
You can log hours by coming to workdays, those hours add up and get you points. Those points add up to make you a thespian!
Run Crew and Crew are not the same. Run crew is the group of people that work on show days; the people moving sets, doing quick changes, and running the light board during performances. To be on Run Crew it is important to come to the workdays as much as you can and learn the aspects of a certain crew. If you just want to help out on crew come help whenever you feel like it, we are happy to have you!
DeFeo is our technical director in Troupe 1806, he overseas everything and works hard to help us do our best. Summer is our Costumes Mistress. She works solely on the costumes crew getting us supplies, making some of our more extensive costumes and helping us to stay organized. Summer and DeFeo support the crews in doing our very best. Cappy being our acting director for the mainstages tells us his vision for each part of the show and lets us run with it! Closer to the show he makes edits to help us create an awesome show. Foley being the music director and leading the orchestra during the musical coordinates with sound.
To become a Crew Chief you need to apply. DeFeo will provide applications sheets when we are getting ready to start a new show. In a typical year we have Fall crew chiefs, Winter crew chiefs and Spring crew chiefs. You can apply to be a full crew chief or an assistant crew chief in any of the crews. More than one person can be chief or assistant chief on each crew, just make sure you have discussed this with the person or people you want to co crew chief with.
