Today, our group explored the ruins of Ephesus and had some time to unwind in the hotel. Here from Kayla, Dez, Mae, and David here:
"Today we visited the ancient city of Ephesus where we got to see the old stone streets and buildings. We then walked through the Experience Museum where we watched a virtual tour that showed what the city used to look like when it was filled with people and life. Later for lunch we had some good Turkish Mediterranean food. Next to our lunch spot was a family owned rug shop where they showed us how they have been making rugs for many years, even letting some of us put the yarn into the rug and teaching us about the different materials like silk, cotton, and wool. Our last stop of the day was the Basilica of St. John where we walked around the ruins and learned why it is an important historical site."

"Today we traveled to the ruins of the ancient city of Ephesus. We got to explore the library which had statues at the entrance that stood for wisdom, thought, goodness, and knowledge.
We then did a walk-through immersive museum experience, learning in a point of view from a person living in Ephesus. After we headed to lunch and then watched a rug-making happen. We got to help make rugs using the double knot method. After, we headed to the Basilica of St John where the ruins of the church remain. We then went back to the hotel and had dinner to finish the night."

"Today we went to the ancient city of Ephesus where we walked around and saw the ancient ruins. Then we walked through the Experience Museum where they had a visual display of the history of Ephesus with projectors that showed what it used to look like. We then went to lunch where we had authentic Turkish food. We also watched Turkish rugs being hand made with silk cotton and wool and had the opportunity to try and make a little piece of the rug. After that, we went to Basilica of St. john and walked around."

"Today we drove to Kusadasi and visited Ephesus. There we saw theĀ Library of Celsus and later the Temple of Artemis, one of the 7 ancient wonders of the world. We then ate lunch at the Turkmen Caroet weaving center. There we witnessed how Turkish carpets are made and grew a greater appreciation for their craft. Even though the salesmen were sneaky, I was able to save my 100 bucks. We also enjoyed the luxurious facilities at the hotel, such as the pool, gym, and beach."
