Today, we crossed continents from Europe to Asia! Here is what our students had to say as we ventured to the ancient city of Troy:
"Today started off pretty relaxed with a 3.5 hour bus ride. On the way, we stoped at a gas station and got a bunch of Turkish snacks and drinks to try. Then we had lunch in Çanakkale. After, we found a park and played around on the play structure. We then saw the giant wooden trojan horse. Then we went and got ice cream even though it was super cold and windy! The weather app said it was supposed to be 51, but it felt like 38 degrees. Then we went to the ancient city of Troy and saw some old building ruins and learned all about the history! Finally, we checked into our new hotel and had dinner."

"We started the morning in Istanbul and took a very long bus ride to Çanakkale. When we arrived, we walked around the town and stopped for lunch together. One of the highlights was seeing a large Trojan Horse, which was really cool to see in person. We also got ice cream and spent some time playing at a playground before getting back on the bus. Later, we visited the ancient ruins of Troy. We learned about the long history of this place and the many empires that once existed there. After exploring the ruins, we stopped at a nearby museum where we saw many interesting artifacts connected to the site. At the end of the day we returned to our hotel and had a nice dinner. It was a long day, but we learned a lot and had a great time together."

"Today we left Istanbul and made our way to Çanakkale on the bus, we had fun conversations and also lots of naps since we were still jet lagged. We had a very nice lunch and were met with Turkish people who gave us flowers for women’s day. We saw beautiful ancient relics and we went to a cool museum where we saw stone statues. Next, we went to the market to buy some snacks and gifts for family. Finally, we ended the day with going to the pool and enjoying the hot tub with friends."
