We are excited to share details about our Iceland Enrichment Week 2026 Experience for Saint Mary’s College High School students. This educational and faith-centered journey is designed to provide students with meaningful global exposure, academic enrichment, and opportunities for spiritual growth.
Throughout the week, students will explore Iceland’s extraordinary natural landscapes — including glaciers, waterfalls, volcanic terrain, geothermal springs, the famous Golden Circle, as well as whale watching and the captivating Northern Lights. These experiences will deepen their understanding of environmental science, sustainability, and the powerful forces that shape our planet. Iceland’s global leadership in renewable energy and environmental stewardship will serve as a living classroom for reflection on responsible care for God’s creation.
In addition to academic exploration, this immersion experience is rooted in faith and reflection. Students will participate in daily moments of prayer and guided reflection, connecting the beauty and power of Iceland’s natural world to our Lasallian mission towards stewardship, gratitude, and service. The trip encourages students to practice our Lasallian Core Principles as they grow in independence, leadership, resilience, and appreciation for the interconnectedness of our global community.
The trip will be supervised by experienced Saint Mary’s faculty, Justin Leach and Joan McManus, her husband David, as well as reputable local guides. All excursions are structured and educational, with careful attention to logistics, transportation, lodging, and group supervision.
This immersion experience is more than a trip — it is an opportunity for students to encounter the world in a new way, strengthen their faith, and return home with broadened perspective and deeper appreciation for both creation and community.
