Music Ideas.

Garage Band

• Write a new song! Use GarageBand on your laptop to create a 30 second sample of music. Use multiple instruments and beats

• Make some music -

• Make some musical instruments at home out of boxes, containers, jars, bottles, pots, pans etc.. and make some music!! Perhaps you could create your own song, OR create a band with other members of your family.

• Learn to play an instrument -

• If you have a musical instrument at home, such a piano or a guitar, you could use this time to learn how to play it. YouTube has lots of great tutorials to help you!

• Listen to music -

• Listen to one of your favourite songs and write a short paragraph about how this music makes you feel and why it makes you feel this way.

• Listen to a song and write down all of the instruments that you can hear.

• Song writing -

• Write some lyrics to a new song! You could even create the music to go with it using instruments that you have made, an actual instrument or GarageBand on your laptop!

• Change the words/lyrics to a well known song. This is called a parody! You could even create a film clip to go with it!
