This class is for all GJHS Band members. In Jr Highl Band we will be learning fundamental skills on our instruments and within the ensembly. We will also learn repitiore used in performances. The Band Performs twice throughout the year on the Winter and Spring Concerts.

Welcome!
This week I will get the chance to meet all the Jr High students and give them the option of signing up for band class this year. We will learn to play instruments together in an ensemble this year and perform on a winter and spring concert. Students may choose from a variety of instruments including, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, and Percussion. Band meets every day during 3rd block. The only after school events are the two concerts we have each year at the end of each semester. I look forward to meeting everyone this year!
Today was the first day of Jr High Band "Free Trial Week" Students are free to come try out band until Wednesday, August 19. By then they must decide to take the class or return to 3rd block rotations. A welcom sheet with more information will be sent home Friday.
