Meet the Teacher

My name is Jasmine Stafford and I have the honor of teaching Physical Education at Defeated Elementary. This school year marks my 23rd year as an educator, with the last 11 years dedicated to the spectacular students at DES. These sweet friends refer to me as Mrs. Jasmine, Mrs. Jazzy, Mrs. Jazz, or Mrs. J. It is truly an amazing adventure and privilege to be in the gym with them each day.  From Pre-K all the way up to 8th grade, we enjoy learning new skills, as well as, expanding on and refining those same skills as we grow together. In our gym, we all learn from each other, have fun while doing so, and always make the best memories together.  

Some of my favorite things are a steaming hot cup of espresso, a book I just can't put down, African elephants, and the color purple.  I also enjoy baking, crafting, and painting my nails. 

My husband and I have been married for 20 years and have 3 children. In the fall, you'll find us under Friday night lights at Turney Ford Field cheering for our Tigers. This life I live has me blessed beyond measure. I am exactly where I am meant to be...living life, loving life, thankful for it all...every single day.
