In 2022, Smith College Precious Plastics presented the extruder and shredder for the Smith community. 

The Impact Awards, hosted by the Wurtele Center for Leadership, recognize and honor members of our community who demonstrate the creativity, courage, and collaborative capacity to make positive change at scales both large and small. 

In 2022, Smith College Precious Plastics won the Community Engagement Impact Award which recognizes a long-term or consistent student-led effort to engage the community and have an impact beyond the college campus.  

The award-winning Smith Alumnae Quarterly chronicles the life and times of Smith College and its alums, from campus news to in-depth profiles of graduates and a one-of-a-kind class notes section

This symposium is a yearly opportunity for McKinley Junior and Senior Fellows and AEMES Scholars of all class years to present their research to an audience of faculty, peers and special guests. Precious Plastics research was presented by Abi Rusalavitch. 

The Summit, hosted on Mount Holyoke College’s campus featured intellectually engaging conversations with experts on the topics of the built environment, innovation in sustainability, and humanities in the climate movement.

As part of the larger maker-faire movement, the Pioneer Valley Faire celebrates the artisans, roboticists, and entrepreneurs in the Valley. CT Precious Plastics presented their shredder and extruder machines in action.
