"When lesson planning, we should be asking ourselves the following questions:
- What is the content purpose of the lesson? How will I know if students understand the content purpose?
- What activities will allow for students to meet the content purpose?
- How will I incorporate the 4 C’s as I release the learning responsibility onto my students?
- How will I check for understanding along the way?
Does integrating technology functionally change, improve, or assess your students' ability to communicate, collaborate, critically think, and/or creatively problem solve? If so, have I modelled the skills my students need to use to be successful?

- Just as the way we teach, the way we use technology should vary from day to day.
- Sometimes it can make us simply more efficient, while other times it gives us unimaginable pedagogical superpowers.
- Teachers as well as the students have to find out how they are comfortable doing laps in the SAMR swimming pool.
- Some may need floaties, while others are doing backflips off of the high dive.
- Even our fittest of swimmers can't stay in the deep end all of the time, just like everyone else they too are doing laps in the pool.
