iPod/iPhone/iPad Apps
- Search "Metronome" and find many for free.
- Search "Tuner" and find a chromatic tuner. Guitar tuners are not helpful for band students
- My favorite is the "Tonal Energy App". It features multi colored faces and is very user friendly.
- Percussion Students - Check out the "Vic Firth" App that has rudiments, videos, and instructional tools!

- www.metronomeonline.com– use this metronome to keep a steady pulse when you practice.
- www.therhythmtrainer.com – this website helps you continue to work on the types of rhythms that are written in your music.
- www.musicracer.com – see how many pitches, fingerings, and terms you can identify in a race! If you’re in the top 10, you can leave your name on the website.
- www.musictheory.net – learn more about how to read notes, rhythms, and more here at this site.
- www.rhythm-in-music.com - this website will teach you how to count, and provide examples. If you are having trouble using a metronome correctly, there's also helpful tools here!
- www.vicfirth.com/education/rudiments - percussion students can work on their rudiments here! Watch videos and practice along with various sticking patterns.
- www.jwpepper.com - this is a major website to find, listen and play along with many of the pieces we perform in band.
