Here are some of the many items that will be happening here at LMS. Please use this to help you stay organized. Items including homeroom rehearsals, playing opportunities and concerts will be listed. We will be having a fabulous school year!

LMS Performances

• County Fair - LMS Jazz Band - Performance Time 11am “Tolerance Hall” - Report Time - 9am - September 25, 2026

• WINTER Concert – All Band Students - Thursday, December 10, 2026 6:30pm LMS Gym - (Graded Event)

• Preadjudication – Selected Ensemble - Monday February 8th, 2027 – Location TBD 

• District IV Assessment – Selected Ensemble - Tuesday, March 2, 2027 – TBD

• Spring Concert – All Band Students – Monday May 10, 2027 LMS Gym 6:30pm (Graded Event)

County Honor Band (Selected Students by County Audition)-Bus Provided to/from Rehearsals

• All-County Band Auditions (by recording) due October 2nd, 2026.

• Tuesday October 24th  – Rehearsal - 3:45pm to 6:00pm – Margaret Brent Middle School

• Thursday November 19th - Rehearsal - 1:00pm to 5:30pm - Chopticon High School

• Friday November 20th– All day Rehearsal – 8:30am to 1:00pm – Chopticon High School

• Friday November 20th– Concert – 7pm – Chopticon High School, report time 6pm

County Performances (Optional, But Highly Encouraged)

• Marching Band Competition at LHS 

Saturday, October 24th, 2026 (Optional National Anthem)

• Solo and Ensemble Festival - 8:30am – Saturday, January 30, 2027 - Chopticon HS

• March/April  – All County Jazz Band – Leonardtown Middle/Chopticon HS

• April - CSM Jazz Festival - CSM LaPlata Campus

• May - Elementary Tour - Sites/Times TBD
