Media Staff

I am so happy to be the Media Specialist at Hollywood Elementary School. I want to tell you a little about myself. This year is my 31st year working for St. Mary's County Public Schools. I first started as a classroom teacher at G.W. Carver Elementary School. I taught Third Grade for one year and First Grade for five years. I then moved to Great Mills High School, where I was one of two Media Specialists. The next year I moved to Hollywood Elementary School, where I have been ever since. The 2026-27 school year is my 24th year at Hollywood.

I LOVE to read. My goal is to get my students to love reading as much as I do! I am always reading!  I'm going to try and add information and updates to Mrs. DiRenzo's Parent Newsletter. Also continue to check this Google Site for updates.

I loved to traveling with my parents. We enjoy visiting the National Parks around the United States. We have visited many parks:  Yellowstone NP, Glacier NP, Denali NP, Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, Canyonlands NP, Arches NP, Mesa Verde NP and many many more! Though I do think that two of my favorite parks are Yellowstone and Glacier, but visiting Alaska and staying all the way inside Denali NP was pretty cool too. I absolutely  love taking photographs while we are visiting the parks! The picture above was taken right before we entered Mesa Verde NP. As you can see from my shirt, I am a Book Nerd!
