Naviance & Common App
APPLYING TO COLLEGE
GMHS uses the platforms Naviance & Common APP. It is the easiest way to apply and have everything in one place. We are able to access information and upload all documents you may need. These documents include: school profile, transcripts, fee waivers, recommendations and more.
(We encourage Seniors to use the Common App and not apply directly to the college/university)
Over 900 universities use the Common Application. Students complete a single application that is utilized for all Common App schools, which serves to streamline an essential piece of the admissions process for students.
Through the platform, first-time applicants can apply to multiple colleges at once. Students will only have to fill out details that most schools require, including name, address and extracurricular activities, one time.
The Common Black College Application is similar to the Common App or Coalition App, however it is only available to historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The Common Black College Application allows students to apply to all 66 Historically Black Colleges and Universities with a single application.
