The study of a musical instrument can be a very rewarding experience for a student. First and foremost, it is a fun and exciting chance for your child to learn an art form. The study of a musical instrument also requires manipulation of some of the most valued skills in reading and mathematics including phonological and phonemic awareness, sight identification, orthographic awareness, cueing systems awareness, and fluency.
