For prospective transfer students

If you are considering transferring to St. Mary's to complete your undergraduate degree and teacher certification, we urge you to plan courses before transfer in order to be able to graduate as quickly as possible. Information about MAT prerequisites can be found here; information about requirements for each major and minor can be found here. The chair of the educational studies department will work with you to choose your classes at your current institution before you transfer; you can contact the chair at mat@smcm.edu. For students who arrive at St. Mary's with a completed AA or AAT degree, we work with you to ensure that you can complete your undergraduate degree, MAT degree and teacher certification requirements within just 3 years, provided you begin in a fall semester.
