Goal: In this module students will discuss academic relationships, their importance according to growth mindset, and how we can work to develop them. Specifically we will focus on the student/instructor relationship and its effect on course performance.
Objective: At the end of this week students will be able to describe the impact of healthy relationships between students and instructors on their learning. Students will write an e-mail to their chemistry professor updating them on their progress in the course and complete a survey that will help them to reflect on what characteristics they should strive for in a student/instructor relationship.
Send your instructor a short email update on how you are feeling about the class after the first exam (make sure to follow their instructions on how you should go about doing this). This should include what is going well, what changes you need to make going forward, and what resources you would like from your instructor.
