Meet Mrs. Adler
Hi!
I'm Chelsea Adler, the School Counselor for our Hernandez Heroes!
I have been in education for 10 years, and have had the privilege of being a part of the Hernandez community for the past 5. I live in Kyle, TX with my husband Kevin, and our two children Paislee and Arden. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Angelo State University, and went on to receive my Master’s in Education Administration from the same university. I’m passionate about helping students succeed and strive to be a supportive, reliable resource for both students and families. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on building strong relationships, creating inclusive spaces, and advocating for every learner’s needs.
When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my family, traveling, listening to live music, and being outside, especially at the beach or pool! I also enjoy reading, watching movies, and soaking in the little moments—like a good cup of coffee/tea, or playing with our pup.
I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to support students and their families each day. Being part of such an inspiring school community is a privilege, and I’m committed to helping every student at Hernandez grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I look forward to partnering with you and your student this year as we learn and grow together!
Meet Ms. Keren
Hi!
I’m Keren Hernandez, the CIS program manager at Hernandez!
Communities in Schools is a program designed to surround our children and families with support to ensure they are successful in school and life! Some of the things I can help with are building social/emotional skills through individual and group support, basic needs assistance, and connecting families to local resources.
I graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Social Work. For the past three years, I’ve been proudly working as a CIS Program Manager at Hernandez Elementary. I'm originally from the Rio Grande Valley and bilingual, my diverse experiences have really helped me connect with our students and families from all walks of life. I care deeply about the kids I work with and the community I’m part of- it really feels like home. Family is super important to me, and I try to bring that same sense of care and connection into the work I do every day.
When I’m not at work, I love being by the river or doing artsy crafts to relax and recharge- it's all about balance!"
