Grade 8 Information Night for parents and students to tour the school, meet staff, get information -January 2027 (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) Date to be determined
Inclement weather date: TBD
Grade 9 for a Day event for students to come and participate in 4 mini sessions with OLB student leaders and travel through the school like a high school student! - original date TBD
Reach Ahead Course - TBD
Grade 9 Orientation Day - Occurs the last week of the summer; the 2027-28 date is to be determined. Meet other grade 9s, participate in games and group activities, and find your locker and your classes. Led by OLB's Student Link Crew members and a day just to familiarize yourself with the building & your peers before the rest of the student body is in the building.
Get your YELLOW ready for House Colour Days and House Parties!
Get a head start on your Community Involvement Hours. Starting the summer prior to your grade 9 year, you can begin tracking volunteer hours.

We use the "lockers for life" system - you have the same locker from grade 9 - 12.
Many students struggle with their lock combinations at the beginning; it just takes practice!
You can buy a lock through School-Day (our cashless payment system) or you can buy your own combination lock and provide the office with your lock information.
Try taking it home over a weekend to practice!

OLB is excited to host a Grade 9 for a Day event again this year on Wednesday, January 28th from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
OLB is excited to have all registered students join us for a grade 9 orientation on the last week of the summer.
